The practice - based pharmacist provides prescribing support and information to the practice team. The Pharmacist is actively involved in medication reviews and patients can arrange to see the pharmacist individually for advice.

Our team of District Nurses cover all aspects of nursing care in the home. Their advanced training and skills enable them to care for people in their own homes. Each referred patient is assessed individually and a comprehensive range of nursing care is available to suit his or her needs. These range from administering medication to looking after people in the terminal stages of illness, as well as offering counseling and support to families and carers.

Health visitors are specialist Community Nurses who have advanced training and skills in addition to their qualification as a Registered General Nurse. Health Visitors are available to all age groups and are there to provide help and support to individuals and families both within the surgery and home setting. They are committed to promoting and improving emotional, physical and mental health for all patients in the practice. As a nurse prescriber the health visitor is in a position to treat a wide range of every day ailments.

Drop In Flu Clinics

Drop In Flu Clinics are now taking place for those aged 65 and over or have a longterm condition which leaves them susceptible to flu.

Please phone the surgery for details.

If preferred an appointment with the nurse for a flu injection can be booked in advance.
